Downtown Jackers Weekend

the boys fell asleep soon after we got home from the airport
i snuck out of the middle of them to take this picture

My best friend drove up with her twins to do lunch and Chinatown before Jackson's baseball game.

Jackson's game was a lot of fun.  They still do not keep score which is hard to swallow because in my opinion, it has kids not trying too hard but Jackson did score a few homeruns and has a mean left throw.  We hope he plays his whole life because we think he's pretty good.

My parents came up to watch his game and go out to dinner with us.
After we hung out as our little family, watching turtles hang out.
And Jackson wanted to see some of Brady's surgeries he has done.
After church on Sunday, we played at the park with friends, baseball!

Then we had friends over for some games before Jackson had to leave

End of March

I made Jackson a 50 reasons why I love you cards book.
Just because.

Brady and I are big fans of Hook Burger.
Brady loves how many pictures I have of him eating.
I love them, especially.

He has been chief this month, which means he is the big guy at the hospital.
He makes up his negative sleep he goes into everyday with some power naps after he gets home.

We went out to a Brazilian place at City Walk near Universal Studios.  It was so-so but the dancing girls were something else, I tell ya.  Not expecting almost nakey girls coming out to dance or the amount of crowds it attracted including very young kids.  I felt embarrassed we were there and embarrassed that parents were letting their kids look.  Call me a prude.

Brady spent $40 on this grass... he was pretty excited to show Jackson.
It made a posh setting for those little turts.

I have been doing acupuncture every week... I will probably write why later.

March Happenings

Brady and I wanted to try out a new beach, so we went to El Matador.  It smelled like sewage so after gaging and an hour, the smell became livable. We put on sunscreen, at least that's what we thought. We stayed, relaxed and didn't dare to go in the water if the smell was so bad.  It was a pretty beach but nothing beats the beaches I grew up on.  They weren't as crowded, they were private, they were clean, they were easy to get to, they never smelled (well Aliso did sometimes but that wasn't a usual).  I am a beach snob, I'll admit it.
I rarely know how to relax on the beach. I'm usually chasing Jack, or my friends kids, or surfing, or going in the water with something so sleeping is never easy.  For Brady, he works so much this comes easy.  He wakes up every morning when it's still dark.

One of my friends introduced me to a place that has 99 cents coconuts.

The next day I had almost third degree burns on the backs of my legs.  My white body that never sees the sun anymore burns? What the heck.  I truly was out for three days.  I spent the first day practically naked and the second, third day I was able to wear loose clothes.  It was very painful. Brady got burnt but not this bad.
On Tuesday I got pants over the burn, and taught a class to the YW on how to do their makeup for everyday and for special occasions.  It was a fun night!

Later that week my friend and I wanted to adjust our clothes so we could like them a little bit more.  We sewed all afternoon and came out with three new tops each.

Jackers Weekend

Right after picking up Jackson, we went straight to Disneyland! It was the last night our passes were going to work so we did it all and did it quickly.
We went on lots of rides together and had such a fun time.
We luckily ran into two groups of friends so we got to spend time with them.

Obligatory Indian Picture

Jackson had a used iphone that was used as an itouch, and found all of these pictures from his phone that he took of his room and drawings he has done.

On Saturday we went for a run down at the Rose Bowl.  Jackson was so pumped to do it, so we did, and he hit almost 2 miles and couldn't run anymore...
so Brady carried him!
