Jackson came back home!
He gets to fly sometimes with his friend Phoenix who also just moved to his dad's right about the same time, and his mom use to live in Orange County like we did, now living in LA like we do. Another small world is Jackson's new step-mom Melissa, knew Phoenix's parents years ago. Small small world. So Jackson loves it when they get to fly together. It's sometimes really hard when they are both there about to fly to their dad's because they both sit on our laps, cry and have a hard time letting us go which leaves us moms in tears.
When we got home, he had to check on his turts.
I get a little excited when he comes home!
In the morning, we went to Universal Studios to play around.
It was the first day of the Despicable Me Ride, so we were one of the first people to go on the ride since we got there so early.
After we had Jackson's baseball game that we watched.
It was a busy, busy day.
We invited a bunch of friends to make masks for Easter and
had a movie night with our fake drive-in extras.
All the kids said it was such a fun night and felt like a birthday party.
I'm glad we were able to pull it off and that Jackson could have so many of his friends over.
After church on Sunday, we went to the park to play around.
We drove to the west side to see Phoenix and his mom. The boys razored over to the hot chocolate cafe, to grab lunch and then down to the beach. They played at the beach for hours digging holes, playing in the water and stuff like that.
After we played with their little snake and hurried over back home before traffic was too bad.
Jackson's Gramma sent over a fun Easter package that he loved.
He had baseball practice. It was so great to have him over the
week since he hasn't been able to be here for practice.
We went down to San Clemente and had so much with friends in Jackson's favorite culd-e-sac.
We had Griffin over to play for the afternoon of swimming, games and dinner.
I brought Jackson to my pilates class at the Y
He use to come to my classes with me growing up, so he was use to this drill. It was so fun to drop off my almost eight year old to the child care.
We walked to Old Town to walk around and window shop, get lunch, get doggie snacks for Jackson's little Charlee, fixed his tablet and had a good time together.
Later we went to the Farmer's Market to have dinner and get his favorite honey sticks + pretzel.
Liv came down to have Jackson read some books to her
Jackson tried out the bath ball
pink fizz!
The next day we went to Color Me Mine.
He picked out a frog...
but it took him a while. I think this may be the last time we do this since he is aging out.
We had some pinkberry after. Happy boy!
We went swimming in the backyard with neighbors.
He was pretty tired from how much we packed in during the week which also included lots of reading, math, piano lessons and more swimming.
We grabbed lunch at Tender Greens and then headed to the park to bury little Carter, the turtle. So sad. Jackson had an okay time burying him. Brady was so sweet to do a while service for Carter which I think helped Jackson feel good.
After we met our friends for two hours of jumping and grabbing drinks after together.
We came back and dyed eggs with the Brady's!
The Easter bunny set out a fun package and clothes for little Jack Jack
We went down to San Clemente and Jackson loved seeing uncle Blake.
The Lindahls invited us all over to have an incredible dinner straight out of a Martha Stewart magazine. Aunt Rene goes all out for family get togethers.
We had homemade ice cream while we watched a surf video. The kids were in heaven.
Some coconut pineapple cupcakes I made.
Spring Break still went on. I took Griffin and Jackson to this really cool and old bowing alley that bands rent out and we had the place to ourselves.
After I took them to Chuck E. Cheese and lunch.
Then the park.
For reals. It was a long day but so fun.
Brady and I had to say goodbye to little man, so we did. It wasn't without tears from him and us. It was such a fun filled week.
