Jackson's Baptism

Jackson's Baptism has been a long process to schedule because Jackson really wanted it to be in San Clemente so we did everything we could to help him get what he wanted.  Brady was so sweet to take pictures of him for the invite, design the invite and help plan it all. We talked to Jackson a few days before and he told us what was up.  We were so excited for him to come down.

He came into town really late at night with a nasty cold.  He woke up in the middle of the night throwing up all over.  I was with him from 3am until he took his nap around 8am.  Cleaning up chunky throw-up was anything but glamorous being so pregnant, but I felt like I could actually be a mom.  Jackson really wasn't a sick kid growing up but he does have asthma so sometimes when he

coughs so much, he throws up.  Brady gave him a blessing, so that he would be able to survive through his baptism, which he did.  He somehow felt completely okay all the way up until 6pm and then it was back to feeling super sick again.

The baptism was amazing.  The Spirit was really strong.  His grandma spoke, he sang with his cousins and then he was baptized.  My brother Blake spoke and then pictures, talking with people and then we had a little dinner at the park.  Friends of ours came from all over... so much love and blessings from everyone.

On Sunday we painted all night... it was a lot of fun.
The next day we met friends at Corona Del Mar at the beach, went to the tidepools, and the drove down to San Clemente because Jackson really wanted to see Mimi and Charlee.  He left that night, still so sick, but seemed to be okay enough to sit in the car for 7 hours.
