New York 1st Anniversary Trip

Since we didn't get to really celebrate our anniversary, Brady and I planned a trip for only a few days to fly to New York.  The last time we were there was only for hours on our honeymoon so we thought it would be fun to go back and stay longer.

I traded a client of mine hair for some buddy passes to fly there and then we had my marriott hotel benefits from years ago and stayed at a really nice hotel in Times Square.  If we could do it all over again, I don't think we will ever stay in Times Square since it was so touristy.

We first went to the 9/11 memorial museum, that had just opened for the first time when we were there.  It was such a somber, sad and also a great memorial to see everything.  We watched videos, saw cell phones that were left behind and read stories for hours.  It was such a great way to start our trip.

We walked around the farmer's markets in the streets off Madison Ave and walked around more.

Brady got us great tickets for the Met's game but the storm was so bad there was a two-hour rain delay.  We waited and got shake shack. There was a random guy that jumped into our picture!

The next day we walked to Broadway and last minute bought tickets to Newsies and had really good seats.  It was my sister-in-law's idea to do that and we can still use Brady's student ID.

It was such a good show.  We had a great time!
We hurried over to soho and walked around until we found little italy.

We had a fast dinner at this italian place while the World Cup was going on, italy vs germany.
It was a lively place!

We hurried back to Broadway and we went to Les Miserables.
Oh man was it so so good.  I enjoyed this one more than the first time I've seen it.
The next day we went to the Brooklyn Bridge and were total tourists.

Brady has so many better pictures than I do.  If he had time, I am sure he would blog them.  Hey, maybe I can get him to.

We hurried over to Central Park for a romantic ride on the row boats.
It was Father's Day so we celebrated Brady!

We then hurried over to the Highline in Chelsea and walked.
A couple asked to take our picture and we took theirs.
We then had to rush over to meet my cousin, Shelby and Connor for lunch.
Rushed back to our hotel, then the airport - making it by a hair.
It was such a fun weekend celebrating our anniversary and Father's Day!
