Jackson Back-to-Back Weekends

We went to Burbank Airport to pick up Jackson.  It's always like Christmas driving there, walking up to his gate and patiently waiting for him to walk off.  We were busy this weekend.  The video above is him getting all of his toys out to play with them.  He misses his room here when he is gone so usually he likes nights at home, just hanging out with us and his toys.

On Saturday we had a busy busy day that consisted of Jackson and Brady playing at our church building for an hour.  Brady taught him more basketball moves and had him doing drills!  It was pretty cute to see them be creative with the chairs and such.  After, we had his last game here in South Pasadena.  Jackson got another basket like a champ.

Straight from the game we drove to Disneyland!  It will most likely be our last trip to Disneyland before the baby so Brady came too.  We actually were able to go on a lot of rides together.  Jackson wanted to sit by me and sit on my wheelchair with me.  It was so much fun.  We stayed almost until it closed.

On Sunday we woke up so tired from Disneyland, and went to church.  Jackson wanted me to sit near him in Primary so I did.  He would keep looking back at me and smiling... he didn't want me to sit directly next to him because I guess this is the age where he is worrying about what people think... he didn't want people to think he "needed" his mommy, just that I was there, hanging out :)

After we had some people from our ward meet us for some more basketball.  We watched a show before the flight and then I sat in the back with him while he got emotional.  I stayed strong until we had to do the goodbyes at the airport when he started to cry hard.  We waved goodbye and when he turned his head, the tears starting streaming. The flight attendant lost it too!  There was another boy at the airport that had to say goodbye to his mommy. She was heartbroken too.. so was her boy.  We watched both of our boys walk together up the plane. What is with all these judges taking away babies from their mothers - and mothers that are good mothers?  Makes no sense.

Jackson called us when he got there, its always so refreshing to hear his voice.

Our neighbors asked us to come up and play games with their parents, so we did until late which helped shake off how much I was missing Jackson already.
